LVD 2013 - 2014

The Arts District 2014

It's always a great day when you get to hang out with your photo buddies and take part in the LVD class. Each week I look forward to everyones view of the city we live in.

I started out this week with my canon and had to move on to my phone. Seems my battery life has expired. Time to go shopping..... :)

LasVegas Document - 2013_Final

Numbers - We are all connected to a number in someway or another. From our SS #'s, birthdate, home address, place of business, zip code, driver's license, credit cards, bank accounts to our vin # on our vehicles. (Just to name a few.) They are what define our possessions or us. Look around they’re everywhere. This is how we are located or how we locate others. I felt that this was a great way to document areas around the Las Vegas Valley.

I'm so sad it has to come to an end. I would like to thank Heather Protz,  Sue Pearlman, Al Schreiner, Judy Rich, Jaimie Mulheron,  Sandy Valle, and Heidi for your insight on this journey.  I enjoyed shooting with each and everyone of you. <3

LVD - Fremont (re-visited)

This week I decided to go for retro with some character.

I used glowing edges for this series of photos to focus on the lines.

LVD - Elegance of Less

A little Elegance
A little Less

Reflections

Sometimes the trash around town can be overwhelming.
There are a few of those in this series.

This one was so cool. It reminded me of a little kid, but if you look
at it closely you will see it's a stamp they put on a pole.

I'm always looking for photo opportunities that I can blend to make some cool graphic stuff.

The inside of a pool at one of the rundown motels in Vegas.

LVD - Paradise Palms

I really enjoyed this part of town. Everything had style...
from the statues, to vibrant colors, wood work, iron fences and gates
to the doorways and walkways.
AWSOME!

LVD - Henderson (Water St.)

LVD Cosmopolitan

Red and Blues must of been my color this week. :)

LVD China Town

LVD MGM and surrounding areas

Most photos were composited of several photos. Some have as many as 5 different photos.
(My theme this week was color....blue and green)

The car.....the only original one in the bunch

LVD Up High

LVD Circus Circus

I had so much fun last week playing around in photoshop that I
decided to use that style again with this new series.
It was fun looking for new "grunge" photos
for my artistic ideas.

LVD Art and Industry (week 5)

The clouds in Las Vegas during this shoot were amazing.
I had to take advantage of the elements of nature and be aware of
different lighting conditions.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

LVD Week of LOVE (week 4)

Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, Caesars Palace (week 3)

Fremont Street (week 2)

Welcome to Flagler Photography, I hope you enjoy what you see. There are several subjects I like to photograph, but Nature is my true LOVE!
