Finally got around to posting some fall pictures. I really love this time of year. Photo taken near Sedona, AZ.

I'll be home for Christmas......sort of! :)

I feel so blessed I was able to see my girls at the same time this year. It may not have been Christmas day, but "hey" who cares as long as they make it home and you get to..."savor those rare, special moments."

Jennifer was coming home (finally) so her sister (Jessica) and I came up with a plan. Man, were we sneaky! So what if we had to tell a fib here or there. The hardest part was when Jennifer would call and the others would have to be super quiet so as not to blow our cover. 

My main worry was about our big boy "Jack". (the cat)  He's very vocal during the day about his need for your affection. I knew if he started to meow while Jessica was on the phone with Jennifer, it was all over! We're talking days of this....crazy how some things work out.  

At one point I had to hang up on Jennifer, and go scold her sister out for making noise.  I called Jennifer back and she was like, "did you just hang up on me?" Nope, sorry, the call must have dropped. It's not a total lie, it happens sometimes. ;) 

The best part was when we went to pick her up from the airport. She wasn't going to expect her sister so I had her sit behind me facing the other way so we could still talk to each other. Then when Jennifer was walking towards me I got up and gave her a big hug, twirled her around so she wouldn't see her sister get up. Jessica then got up, turned around and yelled "hey, I bet you didn't think I was going to be here!" That moment was priceless. Jennifer just burst into tears and ran to her sister and said, "you lied to me!"

The whole time, THE WHOLE TIME?... (yep, pretty much) 

She was a little upset with us, but OH WELL! It was all for a good cause. 

From our family to yours....BE SNEAKY and have a very Merry Christmas!

Pulling out the old stuff and creating something new...feeling playful!

Everyone once in a while it's nice to go back into the depths of your digital files and pull something out to play with. I've made a new tab called Oil Painting with Photos. I'll be adding stuff to it now and then so please come back to visit. 

In the mean time...

   get busy and create something. :)

HDR

During Photoshop World this year they were giving those who attended a free copy of Nik software AND a year of Adobe Creative Cloud. I've been playing around with the HDR on some recent photos and thought "hmmm...maybe I should use it on a few old ones". Here's what I came up with. These photos was taken a few years ago when City Center first opened. I love the look of the HDR. Hope you like it as much as I do. ~kim

Before & After

I just love my cell phone. I seem to use it more for pictures than making calls or checking e-mail. 

Here is a photo I took in New Mexico right after Christmas vacation going 75 miles down the HWY. 

Oh!....I forgot to mention, my husband was driving. 

I love this photo because when you're going down the freeway sometimes you're not looking closely. 

I was so mesmerized by the clouds and hill I didn't notice till I got home what a wonderful surprise the row of old time cars were. I then wanted to make the photo fit the time period of the old cars and this is what I came up with. Here is the before and after. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 

Disney 2013

Every year my husband and I take the choir kids to festival in the parks. This year it was Disney.
